about us // enviromental policies

making small changes with big impact

we pledge to:

  • actively encourage clients to use recyclable material in their print production.
  • to use public transport to attend meeting where possible
  • to car share or use public transport to get to and from work – to reduce the use of single occupancy car travel
  • to have a strict lights-off policy along with reducing the office lighting usage during lighter and summer months
  • to increase the proof reading of materials from printer by the use of email and PDF instead of hard copy and motorcycle couriers
  • ensure that ‘jobs’ are joined together in terms of collection when using couriers
  • investigate video conferencing facilities that are becoming more affordable for businesses to reduce off site meetings.

We constantly seek to increase our understanding of our impact on the environment and to minimise or eliminate altogether any adverse environmental effects on the natural or man-made world. We monitor our energy consumption (gas and electricity), using electronic timers and insulation to achieve maximum efficiency. Paper and toner cartridges are recycled through appropriate companies.

The most significant environmental impact we make is through our suppliers: environmental considerations drive our selection of printers, paper suppliers and colour reproduction specialists.  We also work in partnership with our clients to ensure environmental considerations are taken into account. This we do at the earliest possible stage, by ensuring that a job is never over-specified, and deliberately choosing both materials and processes that have a minimal environmental impact.
